Our mission is to improve newborn and maternal health in Latin America and the Caribbean. By equipping hospitals and staff with the tools and skills they need, Infante Sano is working hard to save and improve the lives of mothers and newborns.
Over 10 million mothers and children die each year, most from preventable causes. This number of deaths is greater than the deaths from HIV, TB, and malaria combined. Over 40% of all childhood deaths occur in the first month of life.
Many of these deaths could be prevented by bringing effective, low cost health services to those who need them most. Infante Sano has designed such a program. Read more »
