Infante Sano Launches Public Service Announcement Videos

For immediate release
February 20, 2007

Boston, MA - In collaboration with the Dominican Department of Public Health, Infante Sano produced four Public Service Announcement videos (PSAs) to be released in the Dominican Republic (DR).

The videos spotlight Dominican doctors from the community as they talk about specific issues that affect maternal and newborn health in the local population. The PSAs were produced in the States, but are played frequently and at no cost in the DR on local television.

The videos enable Infante Sano to reach and educate a wide number of people on 4 specific issues relating to infant and maternal health: the warning signs of at-risk pregnancy, the warning signs of a sick newborn, the importance of vaccinations, and teen pregnancy. Public awareness of Infante Sano, as well as the organization’s potential to reach and affect more people is expected to grow with the publicity from the PSAs.
